Impact was created by smashing apart locally sourced pallet wood and arranging it around the spiked flower in the center. This sculpture attempts to create an abstracted impact and capture the instant when two materials collide; similar to the moment when a rain drop comes cascading down and crashes onto the earth. This series lead to a love of natural materials and forms and an exploration into the potential of locally sourced pallet wood.
